Real-life crime drama will focus on victims, says ITV

Believe Me, a four-part true crime drama will explore the real-life case of one of the UK’s most notorious serial attackers. The series tells the story of three women who were assaulted by John Worboys (played by Daniel Mays) and who joined to take legal action against the police. Believe Me will debut later this year.

Done waiting: Patience Series 2 premieres on Channel 4

Ella Maisy Purvis returns in the title role as the young autistic woman from the criminal records department who helps solve major cases. In Series 2, she has a new detective to work with — Frankie Monroe, played by Jessica Hynes. The York-based drama contains eight episodes.

Winter news heats up at ITV

ITV has commissioned a six-part police procedural, Winter, featuring a forensic pathologist played by Richard Armitage whose brilliant, unconventional approach helps the police solve complex murder cases. He’s assisted by DI Lauren Bell, played by Annabel Scholey. The new drama seems based on the successful French series, Balthazar.
