BBC announces new crime drama, The Hairdresser Mysteries
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the six-episode show will feature Sally Phillips as Lily Petal, a hairdresser who “gets entangled in a web of secrets after buying a small village salon.” Filming is scheduled to begin in late September on the program, which is billed as a “nostalgic nod to the 1970s.”
ITV releases info on heist thriller Frauds
The six-part drama stars Jodie Whittaker and Suranne Jones as a complex duo Bert and Sam, whose intertwined past resurfaces in the setting of Southern Spain after a decade of separation. The troubled partners deal with personal issues as they attempt to plan one, last job. ITV says the series will air later this year.
Netflix announces new Swedish crime drama to debut in 2026
The Case, created and written by the author of Lupin and The Long Shadow, is about a highly regarded Stockholm police investigator dealing with a serial killer. He turns to a once well-regarded but now out of favor ex-detective for help — his estranged father. Production recently wrapped in Stockholm.
