BBC launches new version of Rebus

Based on the best-selling Inspector Rebus novels by Ian Rankin, the new Scottish crime series based in Edinburgh debuts May 17 on BBC Scotland and on BBC One the following day. Richard Rankin is cast as the title character.

Apple TV+ introducing Spanish-language crime drama this summer

The streaming service this week shared photos of Las Azules (Women in Blue), based on true stories of Mexico's first female police force in 1970. The show will premiere on July 31 with the first two of 10 episodes.

Flowers Over the Inferno spreads to Walter Presents and SBS Australia.

Public broadcaster SBS Australia, Walter Presents in the U.K., and Antenaplay in Romania have picked up the series Flowers Over the Inferno, an Italian crime drama that scored a 25% audience share during its domestic run on RAI 1.
