Shetland reaches double digits with Season 10 start date
BBC has announced that the 10th season of remote crime drama Shetland will debut on Nov. 5. Ashley Jensen and Alison O’Donell are back as DI Alison ‘Tosh’ McIntosh and DI Ruth Calder. In the new season, they travel to a remote village to investigate the sinister murder of an elderly woman.
New British detective drama set in Spain to debut in 2026
Death in Benidorm, a British detective drama set to premiere on the UK’s Channel 5, is about a former UK detective who starts a new life running a quiet bar in Benidorm, Spain. But he finds himself pulled back into detective work—with his barmaid as a partner. John Hannah and Carolina Bécquer will star.
Hit Irish-language crime Cra will return for Season 2
Commissioned by both TG4 and BBC Northern Ireland, the first season was set in remote northwestern Ireland. It followed Garda Conall Ó Súilleabháin as he searched for justice in the murder of his mother. The six-part Season 2 will begin filming in early 2026 on location in Donegal.
