ITV announces new detective thriller, She Lies In Wait
Blue Lights' star Martin McCann will play DI Jonah Sheens, who's tasked with solving a cold case after the body of a teenager is discovered deep in the woods. The drama flips between the past and present, as old friends become prime suspects. It’s based on the 2019 novel of the same name — the first book in Gytha Lodge's Jonah Sheen series.

The six-part series was filmed in Svalbard and Scotland. DCI Amy Silva (Suranne Jones) and DI Kirsten Longacre (Rose Leslie) travel to a remote Arctic research station, where a British special forces member has been shot dead. As they investigate, they face a potential international confrontation, as different nations compete for control of the Arctic and its resources in the changing polar climate.
Crime drama Smilla’s Sense of Snow will debut in U.S. and Canada on AMC+
AMC Global Media, ITV Studios and Constantin Film announced the distribution agreement. The series should debut in Fall 2026. The modern adaptation of a best-selling novel stars Filippa Coster-Waldau, Elyas M’Barek and Henry Lloyd-Hughes. The story takes place in Copenhagen in 2040. Smilla Jaspersen looks into the death of a friend. Her search takes her to Greenland and the middle of a political power struggle.
