New Camilla Lackberg series will begin filming in August
Variety reports that “Shadow of Guilt,” based on Lackberg’s “Fjällbacka Murders” characters, is entering production with a broadcast planned for 2027. The six-part series has been picked up for global distribution by Reinvent Yellow as part of the New8 pubcasters alliance: Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
Season 2 of Black Sands debuts in May on the Viaplay streaming service
The second and final season of this Icelandic crime thriller finds the survivors of the Black Sands tragedy haunted by the revelation that one of them was a serial killer. Aldís Amah Hamilton returns as the Reykjavik police detective whose first case involves the death of a tourist near her hometown.
Filming begins on Season 2 of the latest version of Maigret
MASTERPIECE PBS and Playground have renewed Maigret, the latest adaptation of Georges Simenon’s beloved novels about the French detective, for a second season. Filming began this month in Budapest. Benjamin Wainwright returns as the title character and Stefanie Martini is back as his wife. The latest season will cover three stories from the novels.
